Wet, Cold & Hungry...

My day didn't start the best. was meant to be getting the 0926 from Moorfields station. Well I ended up getting the 1026 train as i overslept :-(. Any way on my jolly way i went.

Station one of the day, Bank Hall, didn't stay here long, was meant to be a 15 min connection time, due to late running train i only had 7 min connection. Stayed put on the platform.

Then on my way i went to St. Michaels. An unexpected little gem of a station building. When doing my plans last night i decided i'd take the short walk from the station and have a walk around Festival Gardens, and i was very glad that i did. Was very pretty and peaceful. Was hard to believe that i was in the Liverpool suburbs. Anyway, back to the station it was.

On to my third station of the day, and incidental my last Merseyrail station... A nice little station that connects Merseyrail with Transport for Wales.

At this point my plan went to pop... I was meant to be getting the connection to Heswall. Upon checking RTT i noticed that the train i was due to get back from Heswall was cancelled. I decided to abandon Heswall... Cheers TfW.

Anyway... on i went back to Lime Street. Headed to Wavertree Technology Park. Clearly a well used station for the people who work on the trading estates that seem to surround the station... A little walk from Wavertree Tech Park to Edge Hill. 5 min into this walk the heavens decided to open.

Once i arrived at Edge Hill i decided to just shelter from the rain, i really need to come back when it's dry as i could of filled my memory card just at one station. Edge Hill is Britain's oldest station still in use. There is plenty of history on the line between here and Warrington.

After that just ticked of a few more stations, nothing really of interest though.

below is the up to date list of stations visited...
